One of the REALLY stupid things about the X2 is there are literally about 15 choices for icons for your devices and activities. Remotes for over 20 years have offered big libraries of logos, icons, general activities, symbols, etc. but nope, not here, at least yet. Worse, there's no ability to even upload your own icon, so you simply must pick one of their ugly and dumb choices for each activity or device.
I sure hope they're working on this, and that there's adequate memory on board for what could/should be hundreds of possible icons.
There are MANY other strange limitations on the UI and customizations in the current software that I'll try to detail (complain about) in other posts here when i'm able. I have hopes they'll fix some of these going forward, but the frequency and quality-impact of the few software updates I've seen so far in the past few months has been disappointing. Some of the early battery issues and quirks with button-presses on a sleeping X2 that were REALLY critical have been fixed, which is great, but there's not yet been a pattern of steady updates or improvements on the things that people are complaining about on the facebook and reddit areas (that we know Sofabaton has been monitoring as they often reply to some posts).
Hope it gets better.
That said, I've so far been able to control the things i really want and need, and have it working well for the basics.
BEST thing is the very impressive bettery life, the overall feel of the remote in the hand and its overall ergonomics. But still a long way to go on the software side.
