They're both actively licensed titles from Sony so I'd be pretty confident in updates. In a worst case scenario K could request new assets. I'd bet this is in the backlog for the post software update release.

I think you mentioned Layer Cake was waiting on the kOS update which I took a week or so ago. Does this title still need to be converted as I still only have the SD version? I was hoping it would be available after the10.22 update. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Everybody needs to get the update before K will release the backlog of HD updates to the store. This can take a month from the first batch of users.

The titles won't be released until the software rollouts (both 10.22.0 and 8.15.0) have completed. Barring unforeseen issues, the rollouts should complete next week. The updated titles that are dependent on this rollout will be released sometime after that.

The following are the titles that were previously converted but awaiting completion of the kOS 10.22.0/8.15.0 rollouts. Note that there are a few more titles that are part of this list that are still working their way through our quality checks and will be released once they have been validated.

With the latest release of converted titles — which was dependent on the release of kOS 10.22.0 — the conversion process has reached a level of completion where we will no longer be posting a weekly list of new title conversions. While not all titles have been converted yet, the number of titles being converted on a weekly basis will be low enough that users can monitor the "Recent HD Additions for Strato V & M" collection or their personalized "Strato HD Compatibility" page for the latest updates.

Most of the remaining titles require updates to the conversion tools to handle special cases that only affected a handful of titles each. We are working through those remaining issues now. In addition, we will be working to process the extras that were not included in the original conversions.

Just finished processing the latest batch. (Song of the Sea HD Update doesn't appear live yet.)

  • 174 Updates (45%) Being Held Due to Missing or Reduced Extras and Alternate Cuts
Definitely getting to the end for me. Really looking forward to those Extras and Alternate Cuts coming back in HD!
 
Down to the bottom of the barrel. Four (4) HD titles remaining to update for me (2 concerts and 2 movies). The two concerts (Adele and John Mayer) and one of the two movies are no longer offered for sale on Kaleidescape, so I am concerned I my not see those again.

I have seen them update movies that are no longer for sale.
