Curious, if you use Strato V to upscale Gravity 1080p to 4k, does it introduce artifacts in the video?Gravity 2013
- KS is slightly better than the BD
- This pretty much confirms that the block artifacts are present only with 4K content. I couldn’t find a single block artifact even after checking carefully (zoomed to 500% and lifted the brightness). I looked at all the bright white areas where the issue usually appears in 4K.

I did not try with Gravity, but I did with the Prometheus 1080p version the other day, and there were no artifacts.Curious, if you use Strato V to upscale Gravity 1080p to 4k, does it introduce artifacts in the video?
Not sure this assumption is that to make. The chipset seems to behave very differently 1080p vs. 4K (see content vs. GUI). So I can very well imagine that this might be baked into the hardware, not the software. At least, I think it must be something deep into the firmware of the HDMI chipset, which means they are dependant on the manufacturer.it has to be fixable via the software.
Have you had a chance to re-look at Blade Runner 2049? Im curious if they fixed just the color saturation and if they fixed the DNR /Artifacts.Gravity 2013

- Good example of the unintended DNR fix, look at how all the fine details are restored. If the damn block artifacts could be fixed too, that would be great.

Oh man I missed that sorry... not good...Yes, check a few posts back
Well a hypothetical “we can’t fix it” better be followed by a “here is a Strato C with a Terra Prime” because the C has no internal storage. Even then that would render all the DV versions to be useless.Has K said anything about this privately? I know they said no one was around over the weekend but they are awfully silent publicly. I do feel like this is going to end up being a "we can't fix" sort of defect.

The other option is for everyone to get swapped out for new players (V2, E2) but how long would it take for them to make new players? And how do you trust they will get it right this time?
If another player manufacturer is also using this chipset and doesn't show these artifacts, there's the answer.... The chipset seems to behave very differently 1080p vs. 4K (see content vs. GUI). ...
For the recent screenshots since your upgrade, I'm curious if you've settled on "Use external scaler", AI Video Enhancement "Off", "Prefer HDR10", and "Prefer 30 Bit" for depth?Of course, I tried both on and off.
Actually, I tried every single option available one by one.
