Greatest Showman, Sinners, Maverick, Project Hail Mary and Speed Racer represent some of the best demo showcase for this player/Format (so far). I was also quite impressed with The Sandalot and Red. It was fun revisiting Red in particular, as the audio is phenomenal and criminally underrated imho. It invariably flies under the radar.

Edit: Good Luck have Fun Don’t die belongs on this list. No Brainer.

On first read my head questionably went to gambling Mel Gibson Maverick as your elite demo pick, but then I remembered Top Gun exists. 🤠
Yeah I can understand the confusion. Maverick has become so synonymous with the new Top Gun that I sometimes take liberties with that moniker.

Also love this idea for thread. Impressions all over the place. I’ve poured thru probably 50 or so titles quickly looking thru and doing A/B with my regular K system to verify what I’m seeing. The more I watch the more I’m impressed.

Tron Ares is jaw dropping gorgeous. Love the audio as well; reference on both fronts. Had fun revisiting this in C’matic recently.

Mandalorian and Grogu looked incredible in C_DV. The bass/ LFE is amazing on this Disney title; the mouse was probably drunk.

Titanic shocked my family, mainly I think because it was a fresh encode.

Agree on Speed Racer and Project Hail Mary.

Also Lola’s hair looks amazing in Run Lola Run.

Will have to check out Lawrence, haven’t had a moment since last weekend.

Project Hail Mary CDV did not look any better than my ripped 4K UHD played on AMB 6

Ah, well your AMB 6 is the issue right there! Bakeware isn't the best for discerning visual fidelity between video file formats.

Good Luck Have Fun Don’t Die C_DV is cinematic demo 💯. Both video and audio. I have to put this on the original post.

Fwiw this looked quite spectacular on the V as well when I watched it couple of months ago.

I have a friend coming over tomorrow - I want to show him a movie scene on the Strato K to 'WOW' him...
Please suggest three scenes as options - I will be obliged.
The flavor I love is DV Cinematic
Movie Should be 'Newer' (Not movies like Lawrence Of Arabia).
If It has great sound it will be added Bonus.

1. Most any scene in Speed Racer
2. Drive: The scene where the Driver asks them, "Do you want to see something cool?" and takes them for a peaceful daytime drive through the concrete basin of the Los Angeles River.
3. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1. First Kaleidescape scene where Harry is trying to escape with Hagrid riding in a flying motorcycle.

Thanks You...

In the 2011 film Drive, the iconic scene where the Driver (Ryan Gosling) asks Irene (Carey Mulligan), "Hey, do you want to see something?" and takes her and her son Benicio for a peaceful daytime drive through the concrete basin of the Los Angeles River begins at approximately 25 minutes and 10 seconds (25:10).
