It was announced that AI is coming to 4K Blu-ray in December.

I was wondering how Paramount is with updating their digital versions of movies, and then us getting them on K?

Still being somewhat new to K, I’m still
Learning what studio does what as far as making upgraded digital versions available and comparable to disc. So far, WB and Disney seem to be really reliable about the digital/streaming version often matching what they release on physical disc, even for older movies.

It will undoubtedly be made available digitally and K is likely to get it due to its pedigree. In general, K does a poor job of keeping up with Paramount 4K catalog titles and this studio dominates the list of missing updates.

Pedigree of the movie or did you mean K’s Petigree?

Appreciate the info though I must admit your message confused me. You said K will likely get it but that K is not so great with Paramount Catalogue titles.

Actually I meant that even if K has a poor reputation with updates from a studio they’d still be more than likely to get a Spielberg (& Kubrick!) film. Having said that, A.I. is from Warner not Paramount and at the moment K is doing good with Warner updates. Count on seeing it on K.

Oh ok, thanks. I thought it was from Paramount, but even better if it's actually WB!

Edit: The 4K Blu-ray at least is definitely Paramount. That is what Blu-ray.com says.

K has nothing to do with discs. The digital distribution is handled by Warner. This will be interesting to watch as now it's the same company. Skydance anyone?

I’m still getting the disc so I can get the digital code for my streaming accounts, and the $4.92 D2D for my K systems. Both Paramount and WB still do those deep discounts on K, at least for now.

Yesterday my daughter showed me that she runs her own college movie night off my streaming purchases. So I’m back to buying cross-platform discs!
