Best showcase titles for 4K Cinematic

There iis a “wow” what a difference with cinematic on Lord of the Rings - Return of the King”. I’ve never seen this movie look like this and so sharp… the detail is night and day compared to the UHD and regular k 4k. They must have really compressed the disc version. Yall wanna see a difference? Lord of the Rings… it’s the one!!
Great suggestion!

I have a friend coming over tomorrow - I want to show him a movie scene on the Strato K to 'WOW' him...
Please suggest three scenes as options - I will be obliged.
The flavor I love is DV Cinematic
Movie Should be 'Newer' (Not movies like Lawrence Of Arabia).
If It has great sound it will be added Bonus.
Danka
There are three definitive Dolby Vision superdemo scenes HERE

Recent standouts were Sicario and Knives Out for me. Definitely been some great looking titles but also some that honestly don't seem to benefit much from the new format. For those I will likely delete and just get the standard HDR10 to save space.
Yes! Watched Sicario 4KC and was blown away at image, sound, all of it. I've watched that movie several times before and this is definitely a standout.

Last night I compared the Kaleidescape E and the 4K UHD disc played on a Panasonic UB player. The disc (Sicario) had more depth and better color; sound was the same. I really hope the digital/cinematic file turns out to be better than the disc."

Watched Mortal Kombat 2 last night in C_HdR10 (4:4:4). Stunning PQ. There was incredible depth/details even in the darker scenes. Showcase worthy. And yes the atmos is badass as well.

Fwiw I downloaded both C_DV and C_HDR10 but on this instance I preferred the HDR10 implementation. So I think if possible, it will be better to check out both and see which one you prefer. This looks like a “horses for courses” thing with cinematic.

Not Ballerina Flame On! Love that scene….

let's stay away from irrelevant comments about people's physical attributes as it can offend others. stick to audio/video, movies, equipment, etc.
The Demo Scene ended up to be Ballerina DV Cinematic the Ice Disco Fight Scene - my buddy loved the Video - Audio (LFE) - And Ana De o_O

And a “Cubanita” to boot—a source of pride for my peeps. Yet there are still younger versions of her riding my elevator. In fact, the convenience store on the corner of my building is even more of a babeland, as other beauties descend upon it from the neighboring towers. I love running out of coffee, milk, and cheese because it gives me an excuse to visit that place at night.

I have had my Strato K for about 3 weeks and I have tried to watch one movie per night, so I can get a good feel for how the new format looks. So far, I have been most impressed with the following, particularly with facial details and clothing details. This list is not in any particular order.
- Titanic
- Lord of the Rings, first and third movie (the details in the clothing, armor, and weapons is amazing)
- The Greatest Showman
- Monsters, Inc
- Top Gun Maverick
- The Parent Trap (1961)

What has been accomplished with The Parent Trap is beyond my wildest expectations.

I will attach a picture I took with my iPhone when I paused Monsters Inc. I know, taking a picture like this with an iPhone is usually a horrible idea. But it really shows the amazing details, so you can imagine how good the REAL image looked!

For reference, my system includes Trinnov Amplitude 16, Trinnov Altitude 16, madVR Envy Extreme, Sony VPL-XW6100ES with Panamorph lens, Stewart Filmscreen 125” Cima FF Neve. I just had my system re-calibrated last week. So all of this together is producing a stellar image. I can’t say how much of that is the source, but I believe having the best quality source possible is where the magic begins.

I have the same projector for about 3 months and it does produce a spectacular image.
I was told by my dealer that they should have my Strato K by the end of the month. Can’t wait to try those movies, thank you for your recommendations!

When was your order entered? Thanks.

The order for my Strato K was entered either 6/18 or 6/19. I have serial number 254. The unit was received by my dealer sometime on or before July 7 (they took a picture for me of the box in the warehouse). I was not able to get it installed until July 28 because we were waiting for some other items to arrive and I wanted to do one install instead of having the guys come over here twice (it’s a 45 minute drive each way). It was well worth the wait.

Sorry, I thought the question was for me. I apologize for butting in!

Monster's Inc is not a Cinematic title??

Thanks You...

In the 2011 film Drive, the iconic scene where the Driver (Ryan Gosling) asks Irene (Carey Mulligan), "Hey, do you want to see something?" and takes her and her son Benicio for a peaceful daytime drive through the concrete basin of the Los Angeles River begins at approximately 25 minutes and 10 seconds (25:10). [1]

Love just realizing Drive was among the Cinematic releases. Seems we waited an eternity just to get the original 4K upgrade.
