First time I've noticed this. 50 First Dates upgrade

Got the notice that I have a digital offer for a "50 First Dates" 4k upgrade for $4.92. Went to upgrade and it alerts me that my machines can't play it as it only goes from SD to HD to 4KCinematic/Dolby Vision, no regular HDR or SDR available. :unsure:

Maybe there's been others, but this is the first time I've noticed a jump from HD to 4KCinema/DV that skips over the regular 4K format.

Yeah seems to be a first...hopefully an error/bug.
 
It is neither an error nor a bug. The 4K Cinematic version was processed and ready to publish but the standard 4K version is still being processed. The content team is working to get all versions released.

I am curious, is it safe to assume that its because the C4k versions...in theory at least should require "less" processing that we might see cases where that version is available first going forward?

Seriously though, no cause for alarm here. K’s been doing a ton of encodes and they’re getting stuff out as it’s ready. If they have HDR/DV assets in house then the hard part is done.
