Strato V (standalone mode) - Scripts are actually enabled... kind of.

Also, it should be noted that Scripts are supported on Strato V in standalone mode.
Is this going to be accessible from the web-UI on the player when in standalone mode? Or do you need to manually go to "{player-IP-address}/scripts" to create them?

I think scripts in standalone mode have limited utility on the V in a real-world home user setting, given that the library of titles is, by design, very limited... but can see it being helpful say in making a portable trade-show demo unit that plays great scenes from a select number of movies that are loaded for that specific purpose onto the SSD.

Also makes me wonder if there are other "{ip-address}/{function}" URLs in the V that are hidden in there! :)

I have suggested that we expose the URL but so far, it's still necessary to manually load the ./scripts page to get at them.

And yes, they are somewhat limited on a Strato V in standalone mode but were enabled for the exact reason you posit above.

Why limit that speculation to just the V? :)

As stated you do have to manually write in “/scripts” to access it.

As far as the limited titles available for the scripts, I found that if I deleted a movie being used for a scene, then the script reflects that in its itinerary and just automatically skips those sections during script playback.

I also noticed that if you upgrade a movie from HDR10 to DV, such as Fury Road and TG: Maverick, which I just reloaded as DV since they were just updated, then the scenes you personally made and the scripts for that movie are deleted so you have to redo them manually.

Just a quick heads up for those of you who are setting up scripts on Strato V:

Script files exported from Stratos or Terras are currently incompatible with Strato V in standalone mode and vice versa. If you attempt to import a script file from a Strato onto a Strato V standalone, the import popup will report that it doesn't appear to be a valid script file. The same is true if you were to export a script from a Strato V standalone and then try to import that script onto a Terra or Strato.

So at least for now, script files created with Strato V standalone can only be imported by another Strato V standalone.

We're looking into it but I don't know when a fix will be available.
