I purchased this due to a sale price and finally watched last night. There was light background speckling off and on throughout the movie. It showed both on 4K Cinematic and 4K HDR. I checked other movies to make sure it wasn't something in my system. I assume it is just a bad transfer from the studio and certainly not Kaleidescape's doing. Also, its the same on both the Strato K and C players I have.

Just want to confirm others who have watched this are seeing the same thing.

Thanks, Kim

Yes, it looks like what you see with older films. Wasn't aware that this was intentional. It was overlooked by me for the most part, it's just on a large front projection screen it was noticeable.
Thanks for pointing it out.

I had the same thoughts when watching last night. Quick check on www told me it was a creative decision, which made sense

I received the 4k / blu ray yesterday, I went to download it to d2d and it cataloged it but it didn’t give me a digital offer? Any ideas what’s going on here?

I believe it’s still in the premium window (even though it’s on sale). It should appear eventually.

I watched this last night (4KC). I thoroughly enjoyed this high octane, sci-fi thriller. I must say the atmos mix is outstanding. This is a dynamic mix and even captures the ambience beautifully during intense sequences. No issues with PQ.
I think they are trying to recreate the 80’s aesthetics

I watched the 4k uhd today and thought the video looked great, same with audio soundtrack. Looking forward to downloading the 4k Cinematic version on Kscape, btw this was a great popcorn flick 👍
