Disappointed or didn't understand?

I just installed a new Compact Terra 8tb server to support my Strato V player. I was hoping to be able to store around 125 regular 4k movies. I have completed my first download from my movie account of 60 movies (61% Dolby Vision, 37% HDR10, 2% HD. My system is now telling me I only have space available for 40 more 4k movies. That would me a total of only 100 "standard" 4k movies. Does this sound right or was I just way off from the advertised 125-130 4k capacity? Also do these new servers come with a few preloaded short duration movies? I found 3, 30-45 minute titles on the server when I set it up. Thanks for your comments.

K has revised their estimated movies per server over the years so it's possible you started with some outdated marketing materials. However, it's also possible that some of those titles are "bigger" than average. Scary Movie in 4K HDR is 60GB but LOTR: Return of the King Extended Cut is 140GB. Further, estimates don't take into account alternate cuts, extras, etc. These will take a title like Avatar: Collector's Edition to nearly 500GB when fully downloaded (and we're not talking 4K Cinematic). So, it's worth looking to see if those are in play. With good pruning and management of titles you should be able to be within a closer range of the estimate.

Check if multiple versions of the same movie are downloaded. Sometimes HD version is downloaded with 4k version as it contains extras.

If the pre-loads were the turtle and/or universe ones, that’s expected to my knowledge. At least that’s what I got when I bought my initial Strato C + Compact Terra bundle.

Yup, you're good, those are expected. If you ever look through the "Most Popular" titles on the K Store you'll find all of these in prominent positions for exactly this reason.
