Kaleidescape Strato k - power supply

Hi everyone,
I'm considering upgrading the original 12V / 5A switching power supply of my Kaleidescape Strato K to a linear power supply (LPS) with a toroidal transformer.
I'm currently looking at the Audiophonics LPSU200 (2×12V / 6.5A), which I would like to use to power both my Strato K and 12 V Zidoo player

I've already contacted Audiophonics, and they confirmed that the two outputs have separate negative connections, are floating, and can operate simultaneously at their rated current.

Before purchasing, I'd appreciate some advice from anyone who has experimented with linear power supplies on Kaleidescape players, particularly the Strato K.
Have you noticed any improvements in picture or sound quality, reduced electrical noise, or any potential issues with grounding or HDMI connections?

I'm also interested in whether anyone has performed actual measurements or compared different power supplies.

Any experience or technical recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

No personal experience, but this thread might be a good place to start :

Thanks for pointing me to this thread!

It's interesting to see that several members are already using the Farad Super3 with the Strato K.

Has anyone actually compared the original Kaleidescape power supply with the Farad Super3 using measurements, particularly DC ripple/noise, HDMI-related noise or power consumption?
I'm also curious whether anyone has tried the Audiophonics LPSU200 or another dual-output linear power supply.

I'd like to understand whether there is a measurable technical benefit before investing in an LPS.

Always wondered about this, what are the benefits claimed for the PSU?

DC voltage output into a device which uses VRMs and converters to 5/12v is a fairly simple case

We run racks of kit doing audio/video encode and decode in real time and other than having enough power and redundancy, never have issues that mean we’d pay more for a fancy power supply

I would assume you would have to do some sort of objective testing with different power supplies, multiple units. Playing the same tone or tones over and over and record and graph the results. Subjective "does it sound or look better" isn't an acceptable testing method.

Hi, I ordered Keces P9, it's really similar to Keces P8, but this one has a little bit more output voltage...
