Hmmm...a bit of a step up in data rate on T2 in 4K_C. Video average is somewhere on the high side of 119 Mbps. No Hard Feelings (120 Mbps) and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (118 Mbps) are also way up there compared to the previous Cinematic norm. Running average for older titles is 104 Mbps (and rather consistent @ +5/-7 for the most part). New recipe?

T2 might be a bit of a challenge to play spot the difference with just based on the inherent craptacular transfer.

There's a 4K file of a 35mm transfer out there that is my preference for this particular title. Pre-Cameron's scrubbing of it.

Of course I still own it on K and on disc. But there are a few titles I still prefer the enthusiast scans.

I remember when this one first got updated to 4K. I thought it looked terrible. I wonder if it looks any better on K in 4K Cinematic. I'm thinking that they can't do much with this one if the source is bad to begin with.

The disc would still be the definitive version (speaking exclusively from my perspective) to watch this, since it supports an engaging atmos (and 7.1) mix. The immersive mix fully captures Dirty Dancing’s iconic soundtrack.

I read/heard the reason the current 4K version is so bad (and scrubbed) is because it was accidently based on an intended 3D transfer. Grain is bad for 3D so they had smoothed it for that version, then they used that mistakenly to create the 4K disc.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the black pearl is another example where the Pirates appear to be straight out of Madame Tussauds exhibition.

I enjoyed the version. I did notice some scenes seemed “polished” while others had grain, almost not right.

I enjoyed it over all but I don’t nitpick video. Starting but I notice things but just try and sit back and enjoy something I have seen in ages.

Unfortunately the lone Extra “In the Shadow of the Vampire” has not been restored to HD. This Special Feature was reduced to SD as part of the Strato V’s HD Compatibility Update. I had hoped K would finally address this alongside the 4K Upgrade.

Matrix Resurrections updated to cinematic. The movie is borderline mediocre but amazing from the HT perspective. Both audio and video are bangers.

The entire franchise is now cinematic.

I sure hope they give the first Matrix standard Dolby Vision for those of us without K. It’s the only one that didn’t get it.

Hobbit did, didn't it? I thought I just saw an update on that. I'm about ready to buy it, lol. I've never owned it and I've been waiting for the 4K disc version, then I got into this, now I want it here only.
