What size drives are next?

Any guesses as to the next size up from 6TB? Hopefully K will skip 8TB and go straight to 10TB. The 10TB Seagate IronWolf drives are only $450 retail and I'm sure much less in bulk OEM orders.

A Terra with four 10TB drives could hold 1,000 Blu-ray quality movies!

Most likely it will be a 8TB.
The one thing I know about Kaleidescape There not the first one to jump on the band wagon when it comes to getting new drives.
They will allways go with the drives that are proven.
They will always be trying new drives and running them for testing but just from there track record they will always go with drives that have been out there for a while with a proven track record.
The last thing they want to do is come out with a new drive and have a bunch of the drives start failing and clients losing content.
Then your talking about a real Problem!
Also if you did the math that 10TB. Drive would cost us about
$ 1,5000.00 to $ 1,700.00 at Kaleidescape prices :)
