Anyone using a VP with the K? If so, what are using and what if any improvements do you see?

I'll answer my own question. :D I recently added a CII VP and must say it is an excellent VP that clearly brings an added benefit to an already excellent system.

Hello,

I use Movie Player 2 (K5000 ) with DVDO VP30 video scaler.
The problem is that the K5000 cannot output 480i HDMI properly. The picture is noisy & blinking.
I have tried connecting the Movie Player 2 to several other display at 480i hdmi signal and it will not sync.
Kaleidescape said they are working on it to solve this problem.

Thx,
Kartono

Yeah, I have the same problem with my K-2500 player outputting 480i over HDMI, into a DVI input into my video processor. So I have it outputting 480p instead, relying on the Kplayer to de-interlace properly. I did find a video de-interlace bug a while ago with the K Player, but Kaleidescape fixed that via a software download and since then I haven't had any de-interlace issues.

I'm using a Lumagen HDP Pro. They work fine together.

When did you report the problem to Kaleiedescape ?
Do they follow up ?

We need 480i hdmi interlaced signal to feed the external video scaler & let the video scaler do the de-interlacing & scaling properly.

I'm outputting 480i hdmi from a KPlayer 2500 into CII hdmi without any problems. The CII outputs 1080p to my Ruby (hdmi). I've never seen the problems described from the 2500. In any case, firmware usually resolves these issues and K is as good as it gets in responding to owners.
