Unresponsive KPlayer... bad capacitor?

So, (I posted the below in another thread), it looks like I've got a bloated capacitor... wonder if it's what is causing the issue... it's a Panasonic EEVFK1E102Q from what I can tell, so I can get one for under $2:) Worth a shot?

KPlayer 5000, with serial terminal connection. Will not leave standby... I have determined its (static) IP address through WireShark (192.168.1.157), and can telnet to port 10000 as well, but get the same results below. Seems like the network layer of the OS is up and running, but the rest of it isn't:

01/1/GET_NETWORK_SETTINGS:
01/1/020evice is in standby:/29
01/1/LEAVE_STANDBY:
01/1/GET_NETWORK_SETTINGS:
01/1/020evice is in standby:/29
01/1/GET_DEVICE_POWER_STATE:
01/1/000EVICE_POWER_STATE:0:0:/63

Had a similar problem to yours. The power supply was failing, but was still providing enough power to make the machine power up, but it would hang at the bright blue light and never do a net connect. Swapped the power supply with one of my other players and it worked perfect again.

I actually get network connection, and am able to telnet to the unit, but it just won't come out of standby... the power supply is putting out correct voltage, and holds steady...

If you have a second player, you could swap their power supplies and see if the problem player boots up...
