Has anyone else seen this.

Just ripped a BluRay, and its in the vault. It's recognized.

Hit play.

Got a weird error dialog (immediately):

Cannot Play Movie
The Movie cannot finish playing due to an unexpected error.

These are usually network related, some hiccup in the transmission. It could also be that the copy to the server has an issue (based on it being a new import and first watch). If you think your network is fine, you might try deleting the copy you have (including emptying the trash), and re-import the movie.

Network working fine, and everything else plays back ok.

This is potentially the first import error I have run into over thousands of imports...

Will try again this weekend....

Update: Deleted/emptied/Ripped again.... no joy !

It looks like this is the first Blu-Ray that I have found that the system has an issue either ripping or playing...

I'll contact Kaleidescape...

Have you tried choosing the "Play Disc" option instead of "Play Movie" (or Play Performance or Play Concert or however it's bookmarked)? Are there songs bookmarked? If so, do they work?

The disc IS recognized, but not bookmarked.

The only option is "play disc"; It immediately throws the error.

The disc plays fine in my OPPO player...

Hmmm. Okay. Apparently this is a Blu-ray audio disc. I don't know any reason why it shouldn't work, but it's not one we've processed in-house. I assume other imported discs still play fine?

Could you send me a private message with the serial number of your server so that we can have a look at the diagnostic logs?
