Transfer legacy status/system?

Hi there,

So I am looking at purchasing a system that is not on the marketplace here, but from a private party and I was "assured" that the system has legacy status, but before I shell out the premium price for this system, I would like to know if a dealer will be able to verify legacy status. How does that work? Do they need the serial # of the server?

My second question is once I receive the system, is there anything that I would need to do to transfer the system into my name? I understand that when purchasing new, owners have to sign a contract with K. Will dealers be happy to assist me in setting up used equipment (for a fee, of course) or do they look down on used K equipment?

My last thought, I am located in the Bay Area (Sonoma County) so if any dealers are reading this, feel free to pm or reply with you info.

Any dealer can tell you with a serial number what the status is.

The dealer will get you signed up with K.

I'm happy to check the system. If interested, PM or email me the serial numbers and I'll check the current status. Anytime you are buying in the used marketplace, always obtain the serial numbers from the seller to confirm the components are real, and you are dealing with the actual owner (too many scammers out there recently). We can also tell you if there are any known issues with any of the components (assuming they have been online and connected to K).
