System stopped talking to AMX

Hi all,

My K system has all f a sudden stopped talking with the AMX system, all panels have no control on the players. Music info is not being sent to the panels, however I have prontos attached to the AMX system and they work as does the web browser on pcs and also remotescape.

Can anyone shine a light on what the problem might be.

Cheers JP

It could be that your AMX panels expect your K players to be at certain IP addresses and maybe you have them set to DHCP and they have been assigned new addresses. Ive had that happen to me a few times. Then I figured it out and set them to remain static.

There are many things that could cause a problem. First is the rest of the AMX system functioning as normal? If not try rebooting your AMX processor. If everything is working check the IP address as Jerry suggested. If your programmer is using the AMX/K supplied K module it does require a static IP specified in the module. Were any other changes recently made to the AMX program that could have affected the K interface?

A good suggestion. Static IPs are the best way to go with Kaleidescape equipment. However, if his Prontos continue to work, then the problem is most likely somewhere else since the Pronto modules require a static IP address as well.

Have you tried rebooting your AMX control processor (not the control panel)?
