Hi all..
I managed to find a second hand 3U server on ebay after mine failed on the network connection.
can anyone tell me if i can simply put my disks into this chassis and off we go? Or is it hardware locked to the disks that were in it?
I am hoping idont have to dismantle both just to swap the motherboards
thanks in advance
Jerry

Yes, assuming the replacement 3U you purchased on eBay is EMPTY, you can move the full drive set from your current (defective) 3U to the new 3U. You must move all the drives in that drive set to the new 3U. If the new 3U has any drives included, remove them before installing your old drives.
