Swapping disc cartrgaes between 1U servers

Hi every body :) . I would like to know if it possible for me to swap laoded disc cartrgaes between 2 1U servers in different locations ? because I have one vault and to save time. What confused me was , I placed an order for cartrgaes and the supplier asked for the server serial number. Doses that mean I only can use those cartrgaes with the linked serial number? Thank you for all your help:)
 
They just want to know which server they belong to. you can swap them but you have to keep the drives together as a set. Once you put them in the system, the drives are in essence married together.

Even faster than using a vault to load the collection twice would be to replicate from one server to the other.
 
Thanks Mr. Poindexter . Some more questions to ask ! Does the swapping requires any change or reconfiguration on the servers? If the server is within a group of servers, can I install the drives only in one of them and keep the others empty? I am doing this only to increase the Blu Ray players ( abuot 20 ) again thank you.
 
Think of the set of drives as the server. The software and configuration files are on that set of discs. The only caveat is to keep them set intact (all drives present) and do not mix drives from two different sets.
