Currently I am running a Strato V through a Lumagen (with only two outputs - audio and video) in my main room (and do not have a server). The Lumagen then outputs to an HDFury VRRoom (which I had before the Lumagen) and Arcam AV40. The VRRoom outputs HDMI to both my OLED TV and JVP projector, which are both used in the main viewing room.
My master bedroom TV is on the other side of the wall where all the main room electronics are located, so I thought about getting an HDMI splitter to run a third line to my bedroom TV. I cannot justify a second Strato, even an E, for my bedroom as I would never be using both players at the time same time. However, there will be times my family would be using another source (like an Apple TV) in the main room, while I want to watch the Strato in the bedroom. So, my original plan to replace the VRRoom with a HDMI 1x3 (or 4) splitter and send one HDMI to the TV, one to projector, and the third to the bedroom TV, won't work.
Instead, I am thinking I could add an HDMI 1x2 splitter at the Strato, with one output to the Lumagen and the other to the bedroom TV. But I really do not want to add anything that will degrade the quality of the signal from the Strato. If I got a higher quality splitter, one that does 48GB (to be safe), would there be any reason to think it might degrade the video or audio?
I have Control4 and can have the KScape driver added to both rooms, so controlling the Strato from the bedroom is not an issue.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a quality splitter? I was looking at this one:
Thanks for any help out there!
