Strato C front panel lights not working

The lights on the front panel of my Strato C do not work, regardless of brightness setting.

Is there any status or function I will miss or is this totally cosmetic?

Any chance you have connected an external USB to the Strato C? I noticed on my Strato that when the USB drive is connected to the USB on the back panel the front light will blink. The Strato still operates normally, but plugging in an external drive seems to affect the front panel light operation.

It's very unusual to lose the front lights, especially on Players. (In the older 3U Servers it occasionally happened when the door lost direct connection to the power pins in the chassis.) If it's still under warranty check with your dealer (or K Support). You can answer your own question by playing a movie, if it works then your player, functionally, is fine. You don't need front panel lights for the Player to work, BUT, assuming the Amber lights don't work as well (likely), then you'll also lose the notice of a problem with the Player should one occur.

@Ksalno is correct, that blinking light is to remind you that the Player is setup for Cataloging. K Support recommends the USB not be connected unless you are actually Cataloging.
