Static on some DVD concerts?

Hi, I've got a number of KScape Movie Players, when playing back certain DVD's in particular, concert DVD's, such as "Red Hot Chili Peppers Live at Slane Castle", and "REM : Perfect Square", seem to output with a TON of static on the analog audio stream, which is the one primarily being used;

These areas don't have any digital capability, but when playing the same concert in areas that have digital receivers, there is no static present.

I've tried switching audio tracks on the disc via kaleidescape, with no change.

I've checked outputs to different receivers, the kaleidescape is definitely outputting static in the analog audio;

So fare this is only occuring when playing concert dvd's, I havent' seen it present in movies, or with plain audio discs. Just some dvd concerts... Any Ideas?

You mentioned you have "players." Are you getting the same result with ALL the players?

Jim

The players are all KPlayer 5000's, I've got 10 of them outputting over analog L/R only, to NAD L53 Stereo DVD Receivers on their Cable / Sat Input.

I have an additional 7 receivers outputting digital coaxial signals to various other receivers, there is no interference in those areas.

And yes, they're all exhibiting the same static pops & crackles on DVD concerts.

I can't duplicate this interference from any Movie DVD or Audio CD, Is there something different about a DVD concert - Music & Video that would be different from a regular Movie's audio source?

Are the DVD concerts multichannel by chance? Not saying that could/should cause what you are hearing, but I am wondering if somehow stepping down to 2 channel (assuming the DVD's are MC) might somehow be causing this problem. In any case, K will be notified so that we can get their take on the problem.
