RemoteScape on different subnet

I've bought Remotescape for iphone and ipad too but as my KS is on a different subnet it's proving very difficult to implement. I have a layer 3 switch that links to my LAN for KS updates and so that I can access the KS system from a browser, (and control it from the ProntoPro with the KS script) but as remotescape relies on UDP broadcasts from the KS system I'm a bit stuffed.
My knowledge of layer 3 switches and UDP is sketchy at best.
I have tried enabling ip netdirbcast on all ports but it's not working. The only thing I can think to do at this stage is to add secondary wifi AP's on the KS subnet.. which is a horrible solution and would also not help as I'm using iMastercontrol with a GC100 global cache, so i need to stay on my subnet.
I think the seven layer model needs another layer..
