Reader Issues...

I bought a new speed reader to load my DVD's...Yes it brand new and only 400 or so DVD have been ran threw it. However, it has a problem, for some reason there are disc that show as an error "unexpected problem with import" I am getting this on brand new DVD'd never touched right out of the box. Why? brand new DVD's? House season 5, Love Happens and so on. I have used a DVD cleaner and repair kit but no luck, Which I didn't think it would work because they are brand new disk...Any ideas?

Does the import stop after a certain periode?
Have you tried using another player like 5000 or 6000 or so?
In the case none of the other devices are able to import the DVD it is supposedly a
"poorly authored" DVD. Please have a look at the Kaleidescape knowledge base. You'll find that in the support section => imports.

Cheers

Try importing those same DVDs through a Movie Player (e.g., Movie Player 2). I have a speed reader as well and have found that there are some discs that it can't read (i.e. gives the same error you mentioned), that an MP2 has no trouble reading.
