Premier only features moving to Encore line?

Things like playlists, scripts, etc. that don't exist today on the alto would be great to see move to the Encore line (which the Alto is now part of). Has anyone heard any news of this? Given the migration path for premier customers to put their servers, etc. into an Encore system it seems it would be necessary or there will be frustration with feature loss.

There's always the option of going hybrid. If you can keep the extra infrastructure then all you lose is your free-range-Disney.

I think it's fine to leave it a separate thread, I'm sure other Premiere owner's feel the same way, and I have at least two friends that indicated they will not give up their Premiere systems for the very reason you stated.

Interesting addition to this. We are selling our home and naturally I have the theater playing when we do showings. Encore line doesn't even support a repeat feature for a movie, which in this case would be real useful when we have multiple home showings back to back or an open house.

I ended up digging a crappy BD player out of the closet and hooking it up because I could play a disc and tell it to repeat.

Even very basic scripting would be great to see on the encore line

K has mentioned that they "may" eventually be able to bring some of the scripting functions to Encore. No guarantee, it takes more resources than one would think, and K currently has other priorities but at least it is under consideration.
