Popping issue

Hi,

I am having this popping issue with my M500 player. Every 10 or 20 minutes, the sound drops and there is a slight pop in my speakers. It doesn't happen with other inputs such as TiVo or Sooloos. My path is m500 to Meridian hd621, then to my display, with the audio routed to my 861 from the hd621.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Hi,

I get something very similar (sometimes) from my M700 (via a 4x4 hdmi matrix to my denon amp)?

It's more a chirp than a pop & very occasionally the sound cuts out completely, but if i stop the movie then resume the sound comes back on?

Ian.

Weird I don't get that at all... In my case its M700->Modded Onkyo Receiver-> 3xCoax SPDIF->861 3xcoax multichannel input,,, but I was recently running it via my 621 and I had no such issues....

Questions...

Have you tried rebooting all components?

Have you tried different cables? As weird as it sounds sometimes the cable simply isn't sitting as best as it can- and a new / different cable makes the difference....

I know these seem almost too basic, but you'd be surprised.

Hdmi cable issue!

Turns out it was an hdmi issue. Monoprice cables apparently aren't all that. Even the fancy ones.
