Omni Stream

i have a pretty big encore system and have been pretty happy with it. the issue im having is, when a kscape Device is directly connected to my TV it is always in 4k HDR. when i run my other tv's with a baleen and an omni Stream type r everything is in 1080 until i pick a hdr or 4k movie then the tv switches to the correct resolutions. is this just a settings issue or something more?

all TV's 4k HDR.

Not aware of too many MOIP systems that will support 4k60 4:4:4. Maybe some of the 10gb network pieces.

May have to go to traditional matrix and newer HDBaset
Baluns.

It sounds like something is amiss with the EDID coming from your baluns. If they don't support 18Gbps HDMI, and if they tell the Strato as much, then the Strato will use reduced chroma resolution (e.g. 4:2:0) on the OSD to be able to maintain 60fps at 4K.

Note that movie content is authored at 4:2:0 already, so you're losing nothing for media playback. There are some very subtle visual differences on the OSD, but I'm not going to tell you what they are because you're unlikely to notice them unless it's pointed out to you. ;-)
