New Firmware - Kos 8.1.0-17826

I just got it last night on my 3U. I haven’t figured out what has changed yet. What were you expecting it to do?

Howdy.

No huge features. Principally bug fixes and stability improvements. One change you may notice is that Premiere systems can now be set to download from the Movie Store at >100 Mbps.

Thanks Mike. I am going to have to try setting the download speed higher and see what happens.

This is HUGE! Especially with guys that have faster internet connection. I am a 1 gig up and down guy myself so trying it now on the unlimited setting. Will revert back as to how fast a movie downloads. Thanks again Mike!

I am only slightly faster. Used to get 95-96Mbps. Now 104-105Mbps with highest of 105.6. My ISP is 150 Down.

No difference here still <30 Mbs despite bandwidth of 300+ Mbs

Is there a way to force the system to update ?

Thanks !

If you go to your system's browser interface, on the right-hand side, it will tell you what kOS version it's currently running, and it will sometimes tell you that it has downloaded an update and is waiting until the system is idle to install it. There's a link there to cause it to go ahead and restart and install the new software.
