So I was thinking of picking one of these units up, but with the news I read on this forum I'm somewhat put off.

Can you still buy units?
Is it worth buying them still or is the lack of support going to be a problem?

I have been continuing to receive excellent support, and I absolutely love my Kaleidescape system. I use a Strato in my home theater.

Kaleidescape is open and fully in business and ready to support new (and existing) systems. Strato is terrific and with the latest kOS 7.3 update UHD HDR titles (with Atmos!) look and sound terrific.
