Netflix streaming

Now that LG and Samsung have wrapped up agreements to allow their devices to download and stream Netflix SD and HD movies, I am hoping that Kaleidescape isn't far behind?

This would be great if they did this. I am not sure where, but I thought I heard they were going to consider some type of Download service in the future.

I believe most of these services stream mpeg4 content which is not supported on any current KPlayers. Any such service would require new hardware.

I've used the Netflix stuff at home, OK for TV shows, terrible for movies, what a lousy selection that is not likely to improve unless they move to pay-per view.

I'd like to see Kscape integrate with VUDU, great selection, amazing HD picture quality, especially the HDX titles which are Blu-Ray quality.

I no longer work at VUDU so that is a somewhat unbiased opinion that VUDU slaughters every other internet streaming service.

I've been intrigued by VUDU both because of their interface and the selection of HD content. The problem for me though is its closed loop architecture. You can watch the content on the box you bought it on and nowhere else. It's also my understanding that boxes can not share content, so if I had more than one in my house, rented or purchased content on one can't be viewed on another box. That makes them single zone units and as such severely limits the appeal.

I agree that K integration would be cool, but the bigger question is if VUDU has any plans to at least let you watch content somewhere other than the box you bought/rented it on? I know iPod/iPhone integration will never happen, but how about content sharing between boxes, viewing of content from your computer, etc? In my mind, the Netflix route that lets you use the service on multiple hardware platforms and even stream on your computer is the better solution. If VUDU can get closer to that, I'd be more interested.
