Movies/TV shows sticking/skipping

I have this issue when watching anything. The picture plays fine for about an hour, and then locks up for a second, plays again, locks up again...so I have to press STOP and resume playing. It will go for awhile playing fine, and then the problem starts again.

Any ideas before I call K tech support?

Thanks.

Check the condition of your original disk and try gain. Over time I've had several movies with the same issue and I've always been able to fix it by deleting and re-importing after cleaning or replacing the DVD. If that doesn't work I'd have K run the logs on your system to try and locate the problem.

Since you say it's happening with watching anything, I'm guessing it's a network issue. are the player and server on the same subnet? good quality switch and cables?

but Kaleidescape can tell you more by looking at the error logs... worth asking their support team what they can see.
