Movie Cover Art Sorting?

In regards to browsing Cover Art: there are two options?
* Arrange the covers alphabetically by title or...
* Bring similar movies and albums together, shuffling them as new ones are selected.

Similar Movies... But How? Genre? Actors? Release Year? Does anybody have any Ideas how KScape weights the different metadata about the movies to shuffle the covers?

After watching it select some similar movie groups, I'd love to know *how* it arrived at it's conclusions about which movies are "similar".

Thanks!

I think that's a trade secret! When I asked that question to K, they said it is many different factors.

Cool as heck though.

Agree it's cool. Having watched it for a few years, it clearly looks at actor, director, and genre to determine "relatedness". I don't think there's much more to it than that... when a movie shares any of those items with another movie, its score goes up.

all of the metadata (actor, director, keywords, rating) goes into an algorithm and the sorted view is what you see.

Clever guys.
