A real Oscar contender this year. Available in the Canada and UK Kaleidescape stores, but not U.S. AppleTV and Amazon already have it available for purchase and rental in U.S., and many other platforms. Anyone know status for US K Store? Hoping to see it before the oscars... May have to do it on AppleTV.
 
I was very bummed that I could not watch this movie on Kaleidescape. It looks like Hulu has the VOD rights in the US through their partnership with Neon, so not sure what that means for K access given that Hulu is majority-owned by Disney, although one can always hope if the other streamers are carrying it. Lionsgate has the UK & Ireland VOD rights, which explains why it is in the UK store. Could not find who has VOD distribution rights in Canada, but obviously someone K already has a license agreement with.

K doesn't have Neon as a studio. They also did Ferrari. Hopefully they will add them at some point!
 
Adding to my grief on this, when I watched this on Amazon about a month ago, the only subtitles available were intended for the hearing impaired, so there were subtitles even for spoken English (which is about half the movie), sound effects and music. Don't know if this has since been updated or is different on AppleTV or other rental platforms?
 
Yes I was looking on K for this title this weekend and then I realized that K didn't have any Neon movies, which led me to believe that they didn't have a distribution deal with Neon. I didn't know that Neon also did Ferrari, which would explain why we don't see that movie.
