Kaleidescape just renamed their Mini System to "Cinema One", brought the price down from about $9K to $4,995, fully loaded with 2TBs (1.5 for storage), 2 additional music zones, and a child remote.

Nice package at the price point. Curious how forum members feel about this product and at this new price.
 
Great move for K. This system will get people in the door at a lower price point. I feel that they will want to add to the system after they see how nice it is to utilize k for video and/or audio content. This hopefully will lead to more servers and players sold. Do I wish I could have gotten my first system for 4995.00 sure but I have had years of use and along the way. k has been fairly good about trade in/upgrade deals. Now if they drastically lower the price of larger systems I would not be very happy. I feel the profit generated on larger systems is needed to keep k innovating and adding features that enhance the system. Just my opinion.
