  • 🔷Why can't I make a new post here in "The Marketplace"? 🤔

All registered users can reply to other members' posts here in the Marketplace, to respond as potential buyer or ask questions of the seller.
However, only members who have paid to become "Premium" members or "Patrons" can make a new "for sale" post here in Marketplace.

Premium memberships can be purchased for as little as $10... a very reasonable fee in order to sell equipment here, far lower than the seller's fee would be on eBay or Audiogon or other sites. Our site doesn't sell ads or sell user's information. This small fee is the only source of funds for the site to offset the costs it takes to run the forum.

Adding a strato player to system is reason for selling.

I'll add that I know this Seller, and wouldn't have any problem buying from him if I needed an M700.

Too Much $$

Hello,

I am in the market for a vault and have been actively pursuing them on classified ad sites and Ebay. You are asking way above a fair market price for me to even make an offer on yours. I am not sure you are aware but this model is going for roughly 2K in today's market. If you want to get to fair numbers I am a player but we are no where close on your asking price. Thanks for your consideration.

Are you sure you are not comparing this M700 to possibly the less expensive DV700?

John

Yes. Its an M700 vault I am referencing. Give it a go at your pricing and if you don’t sell it I would love to get it from you. I will check to see if the ad is still up in the next 30 days but feel free to get a hold of me if something changes. Thanks

The M700 is $6,995 retail, and regularly sells at that price, maybe a little lower with some so-called dealers. Used, these sell in price range from $2800 to $4,500 depending on condition, warranty, history, etc.. There is nothing wrong with the OP's pricing, IMO.

Shopping for K gear on eBay is like rolling the dice in some cases, if it's priced too low, there is usually a reason.

Jim

I bought one on eBay for $2500 this month. There is another one listed for $2700 on there right now. They haven’t sold for > $3k on eBay for a long time.

Sure, but I'm referring to all pricing that I'm familiar with, which includes sources outside eBay. I have at least a dozen friends/clients that have bought used Vaults (not from me) in the past couple of months, average price was $3,100.

I regularly receive negative comments from members, clients, friends, regarding their eBay experiences when buying K gear. Two got burned by purchasing components that did not work, from Sellers that covered themselves in their ads so these could not be returned. Another got stuck with a stolen component, and another got a server with a non-approved power supply the Seller had changed out to sell the Server. It contributed to a board failure and had to be trashed. Obviously not all eBay sales are the same, most are fine, but when you get burned on a K component, it's usually not a trivial loss.

Anyway, my points, poorly stated, are that Sellers set their price, if you don't like it, shop elsewhere, and that the existing market for used K components is always up and down based on many factors.

No one is going to be "shamed" into lowering their price by a shopper that wants to pay less. Make an offer........it's called negotiating. In the end, markets will do what they do.

Based on feedback and market information I am adjusting price to 3000.00. PM for serial number and any additional questions. Will ship in original box from US location.

4 or 5 days and no response, are you getting your messages? If I can get a response then I would know. If the vault is not longer for sale, please let us know. If you are willing to ship to Canada, let me know. If you can help me figure out how much shipping would cost to Calgary, since I don't know where you are, or - tell me where it will ship from and I can get the quote.
Or should I just look for another one.

Just spoke with Seller, he apologized for not responding, he's been in an area that made that difficult, and he was also waiting to hear back from someone that had indicated he wanted to buy it. He gave him until today (or tomorrow) to get back to him. It is still for sale, and he will reach out to you either later today or tomorrow.

Jim

I think it will be sold, there are two buyers that contacted the Seller to buy the M700, both appear serious according to Seller (I spoke with him yesterday). If it doesn't sell, I'm sure he'll post that info.

Jim

I think it was sold to the other guy, but I'll confirm before closing thread.
