M500 not reading discs

Been having an issue lately (unsure how recently as my wife has been the only one adding discs for a while) where the m500 just refuses to read discs.

Most times the light on the front will pulse for a short while then go steady. The on screen menu would indicate that there was no disc in the drive, and the import screen of the browser interface wont even show an entry.

If I try enough (opening and closing, rearranging the disc etch) it will sometimes get to the point where it says there IS a disc, but it's not a movie or music disc.

Rarer still, it'll just recognize a disc and import. There seems to be no rhyme or reason.

Anyone else experience similar? I assume it's a bad reader?

Sounds like a bad ROM drive......I'd contact your dealer, or K Support for assistance.
