Lumagen Lock mode for Auto Aspect and Scope OSD with Strato

Hello All. I had Lumagen add a new feature to their Auto Aspect functionality that is directly related to the Kaleidescape. I was hearing complaints that the auto aspect function wasn't working that well with the 2.35 version of the OSD, especially with the LIST style view of movies. This has to do with the way that menu looks to the Lumagen. Now in the auto aspect setup there is a new selection that refers to using the graphics flag. If you go into the Strato advanced menu (in IP video menu) and enable the metadata in the advanced menu to ON and set the graphics flag to ON in the Lumagen auto aspect section of that input, it will assume you are using the scope OSD setup and will now LOCK to 2.35 for the OSD regardless so no chance of it messing up. Hope this helps those that have had finnicky issues with this!

Hi Kris,
I have a Stewart 16:99 screen with 4 way masking that I can control with a IR signal. Can the Lumagen control the Stewart masking with this Auto Aspect ratio feature when using the Strato?

You need some type of control system (eg Crestron) that can obtain the needed info from your Strato and Lumagen and take the appropriate actions…. SJ
