Kplayer 5000 keeps losing connectivity

curious if i am having a network issue or issue with the player. i can get the player talking to the server and all works for about 5 min or so then the player just plain loses connectivity. the ethernet shows amber so does the front. every once in a while it will connect though then disappear. regardless of the amber light i do see it on my network.

cant seem to figure out why it keeps going on and off. switched a few different ethernet cables out but that didnt change anything.

could it be something in my settings?

Given that it connects up for awhile then loses the connection, I can't see how it would be settings related. Have you tried changing the switch port? I had a switch with a port that went bad, didn't even know that could happen, drove me crazy trying to find the problem and eventually just tried another port I knew was good and the component was fine.
It could also be a board problem, ethernet connection on the Player, power supply......

Sounds like duplicate IP addresses. Go into settings and change it to DHCP, unless you need a specific IP.

Good point, should check that as well, for some reason I assumed he'd either checked that, or would have seen a message, I hope that's it, the alternative on these older players isn't good.
