  • 🔷Why can't I make a new post here in "The Marketplace"? 🤔

    All registered users can reply to other members' posts here in the Marketplace, to respond as potential buyer or ask questions of the seller.
    However, only members who have paid to become "Premium" members or "Patrons" can make a new "for sale" post here in Marketplace.

    Premium memberships can be purchased for as little as $10... a very reasonable fee in order to sell equipment here, far lower than the seller's fee would be on eBay or Audiogon or other sites. Our site doesn't sell ads or sell user's information. This small fee is the only source of funds for the site to offset the costs it takes to run the forum.

Reference: Hi all. Just finished purchasing this Terra 40 from @carajo (Joe Caravella of Epic Systems). Transaction was smooth. Price was agreed on without pain, and the payment method was sound. Responses to inquiry were always quick and courteous. The Terra arrived as advertised and integrated into my system without a hitch. He had even upgraded the shipping insurance on his own initiative and at his own expense. Very good with email, DM and phone followup. I would purchase from Joe again without hesitation. 5 stars!

(Note for anyone selling into Canada: Customs seems to be getting quite fussy about high end AV products and now appears to be routinely holding these for search and price confirmation, at least in my experience over the past 6 months. You'll need a little patience to get your new toy, and declaring a realistic retail price is strongly recommended, since customs agents have Google too.)

I bet it's a right joy then for UK folk. I can't speak for Canadian pricing but the mark up in UK is crazy $$$$$$. Flip the price from USD to GBP and then add on 30+ % :-(

Customs charged me duty to ship an empty K box into Canada.

EMPTY.

I can only imagine waiting for their opinion of a realistic retail price is on used high-end av gear.

I locked this thread, and changed the prefix to "SOLD".
Please sellers, it's your responsibility to return to your "FOR SALE" listings and mark them as "SOLD" when sale is completed. I know you can't lock the thread... Jim or I will when we see it's marked as SOLD... which you can do yourselves. Thanks
