Just noticed that a new tab(Music) has been added to the Store. There is no content so far but curious to see what this is about !!

Sorry to disappoint, but that "Music" category is there for Concert content. K decided to make it easier to find Concerts in the Store, so going forward that is where you will find all music related content (basically Concerts). This is NOT for CD's.

I talked to K about this in the past. I certainly don't think that K should get into the music business with stuff like CDs and such. But I think they are missing a lot of potential in the multi-channel lossless arena. With obvious ties to Warner music, Universal and Sony, I would love to see them start carrying what would amount to the back catalog of DVD-Audio and Blu-ray Audio titles that have been released. These all had static video but high resolution multi-channel and 2-channel tracks. I could see this bringing in a lot of audiophiles to the product. All of the studios are increasing their multi-channel audio output exponentially right now but streaming services are still only offering lossy audio for this. If K could get that type of content (which fits in beautifully to the home theater environment for playback), I think it would bring a lot more people to the ecosystem.
 
I wondered when something like this was coming ever since they made the menu distinction to Kaleidescape Movies. (Kalaeidescape TV would be another neat option to put all your TV shows together)
 
Wonder why KScape hasn't got with AIX Records to get all of their concert videos - DVD and blu ray - in the store? I have many of the discs in my DV-700 disc vault. Some really good stuff including lots of 5.1.
