K1500 fan update

Did anyone try to replace k1500 fan with Noctua NF-A4x20?
They are using 12V but are 1 cm thinner than original JMC.
Theoretically should work, and can conclude by tests or from your experience :)

Reason to replace the original one is noctua generating lower noise.

PS: internal fans cool the HDD or also help MB as well?

Thank you

JMC are static pressure fans whereas those Noctua are airlow fans. You can try stacking Noctua fans to double its static pressure output but that will add 3db or above noise.
