K player for outdoor TV

I just purchased a Sunbrite outdoor TV and want to have access to my 3U server but am not looking forward to buying another M300 player since this is a TV that will only get use on days that we are around the pool.

Is there another player from an older generation system that would be good for this on and off type of use?

Take a look at the "old" Kplayer 2500, which you can connect via component cables. It does not have importing capabilities or 1080 output, but it might be sufficient for your needs--and only costs a few hundred dollars.

The problem you will encounter is that you can only play back BR via the newer players. So if you have a ton of DVDs and just a few BRs thats viable. But if you've got a BR based system, you'll want the new M300/M500/M700 player.

Considering the outdoor use, wouldn't redirecting the output to that display solve the problem without requiring a new player or dealing with dragging anything other than the power & signal oustide?
