Is K takeout bait now?

With the lawsuit behind them, why wouldn't someone buy K? With all the private equity/tech money out there today and financing almost free, why not take a flyer on the little guy?

I look at K and think that their database of movie data and their highly evolved user interface make them a desirable target.

I think about who would or could buy them.

Vudu/Amazon/Netflix: All of them would love the interface technology. It would also give them a premium product and access to premium marketing channel. None of them are short of cash.

Sony: This is the most terrify prospect, and I think it real low given the financial challenges that Sony is facing. But Sony has a love/hate relationship with high end and their UHD player/release has been a total disaster!

Alternatively, does K merge with another A/V provider. Here again, K was a toxic entity with the lawsuit. Now it isn't. My dream would be for K to merge with Meridian and then I could use the same server for music and video. But having just met with the local execs from M in NY and pitched the idea at the SE demo, it wasn't well received.

Anyway, interesting times ahead for K.

I agree there is some good merit to this.

But is K profitable? I don't know.

I don't see Vudu/Amazon/Netflix and Google because they are so cloud focused.

Sony? Maybe- it would certainly give them a great GUI.

Apple doesn't need the GUI help but this could give them entr?e into the truly high end and they have the movie store contracts....

A team up with Meridian sounds lovely, but I have had the same reaction as you from them.

What about a company like B&O?
