Internet Access

Another suggestion if not covered already.
Might be handy if we could access the internet using the K remote. Every TV would then be web enabled as they are already wired with CAT5 or 6 from the various K devices back to your router.

I don't envisage K allowing general internet access via the K system.

I expect most consumer TV's in the near future will require a direct internet connection (wired or wireless) to update software/utilise apps. A web browser will be most probably be included in the TV software suite.

I doubt we will see online access beyond the contact we currently have directly with K (monitoring, K store). K has always been a "closed" system, and this is another protection of copyrighted content that increases the comfort level of content owners. Don't know for sure, but this restriction may have also been a factor when K negotiated the license that allows us all to do what we do.

What was that line..."never say never"....?

Yes Jerry, thats the suggestion. I thought it would add to the overall experience and add to everyones enjoyment and investment if it wes introduced as a software upgrade. With that CAT6 going to the back of each player the possibilities are endless.

I'm not sure the current hardware has the horse power to do that.

Also I think you'd need some kind of input device beyond the K remote. I suppose you could figure out a way to use an iPad or iPod or other "smart" device.

Personally speaking, I really don't want to surf the internet on my TV. Thats for kicking back.
