First picture of the vault

Any chance there will be a recording of the seminar "Why Innovators Get Sued by the Hollywood Cartel" for those of us who are unable to attend?

Maybe they can make that their test video for a direct download service. I would bet it could get downloaded pretty fast if they implement a torrent/P2P download system like a lot of software companies do for their updates now.

He was a little reluctant just for my request for pictures, but I can ask what else he could provide.

Btw, where the heck does K expect us to put that unit? It appears not to be of the industry standard proportions (some multiple of the 1u). It won't fit in my rack!

It would fit in the rack if you get a Middle Atlantic RSH shelf.

Thanks. That is the company my dealer will be using in my new media room. Two 72" units to be specific. It still doesn't appear "standard" sized.

Placing it on a shelf with a faceplate is ok. Maybe the 300 disc unit to be released later will better integrated.

I suspect the 300 disc unit will be as it will incorporate a player in it and as such would have much more of Kaleidescape's input on it. This is more of a retrofit and firmware change of an off the shelf design to get to market quicker.

Agreed. Now to resist temptation to buy things "twice"

The Vault looks quite rugged and would easily sustain a drop or two, looks like its designed for outdoor use :D

I like it (so long as it fits a rack)? I even like the idea of an uncluttered remote and may get one to view everything. Im guessing the content is defined through the user interface?

I wonder if two remotes can be used together and set for different ratings. Ie. R and PG? That would be cool... limited appeal im sure..

Great work K, well done!
