Filtering Movie Collection by Genre

Hi,

Excuse me if I have missed the obvious, but I have not been able to find a way to filter my movie collection to only show movies of a certain Genre. I am assuming this is possible, and that I am just missing it.

And the bonus question do you know if this is exposed by the Crestron control module.

I am a Crestron Consultant so I do my own system programming.

When on the movie list view, go right off of movie titles and hit select on whatever you wish to sort by.

Doing this allows you to sort by genre, rating, time, actor, etc....

This is all through the on-screen interface. Are you pulling the movie titles into a Crestron touchpanel, or are you controlling the on-screen interface?

Hi Kevin
Thank you.

I am using the crestron system to control the onscreen UI.

Hi Kevin
Thank you.

I am using the crestron system to control the onscreen UI.

Then try what Kevin said. Go to list view and use your interface to move "right" until you get to the Genre column and select it. It will re-sort based on genre.

FWIW, the K-app is a way better way to control the K, assuming you have a tablet handy at all. I've had a nice Crestron interface, iRule, and Roomie Remote, but K's app is still way better than all.

Agreed! once you try the app on the iPad, you will never use the crestron TP. the only thing that bothers me is switching iPad screens to control other things.
