I was just reading this thread with some interest regarding audio dropouts. I didn't know this was a known issue with Kscape. It's been driving me crazy trying to get to the bottom of this. I wasn't sure if it was my Datasat or Kscape player connected to it. All of my other players have no dropouts, but they are not outputting a bitstream signal. Now it makes sense.

For those having this issue, is it occurring with both Dolby and DTS soundtracks - it is for me.

For your DTS issue check the Datasat, I have no dropouts with DTS soundtracks using a Trinnov Altitude. Only with Atmos and the problem hopefully is now solved by K.

I would call tech support and tell them you are having issues. They may push out the update

Just following up with you guys on this. I am about to install a new Atmos/dts:X unit, and wanted to know if the latest firmware update fixed the problems for those of you who already have been using it.

Yes! Atmos is a great experience especially with films like the latest Mad Max. Enjoy.

So, no more Atmos dropouts? That's great news! I did download the latest Mad Max, but have been holding off until this new equipment is installed, so I can really appreciate it fully.

Yes. The Atmos experience is unreal. Sounds amazing. Confirmed with Rusty at k that the Atmos fix was two updates ago. No problems since
