Doctor Sleep Director's Cut

Has the Director's Cut of Doctor Sleep ever been available in 4K ?

I thought it was when i browsed the store a year or so ago. I have now become a Kaleidescape owner. I was hoping to buy the DC from the store. I guess it may still be exclusive to Apple.

From what I can see, we have never had a UHD/HDR version of Doctor Sleep Director's Cut available on our store in any region. We do have the "Limited Edition" version that includes the both the Theatrical and the Director's Cut releases but only in HD quality and we only have a license to sell it on the UK store.

I have asked the Content team about the status of the Director's Cut in UHD. If I hear anything, I'll let you know.

John, I’m pretty sure it was available in 4K HDR last October. Version was 2hr 32 min.

Yea, I have the non-Director’s cut in 4K HDR.

Yes. There _is_ a UHD/HDR version available on the store but it's not the Director's Cut from what I can tell. For some reason, "Director's Cut" got dropped from my earlier post leading it to read like there was no UHD/HDR version available. I blame the dork who typed out my original message (me). I've clarified my statement above.

One confusing thing on the Store website. Under "features" the HDR/UHD/SD versions say movie, while the HD version says theatrical version. Is there any difference or are they all the same? Thanks if you are able to clarify.

Wayne

Thank you.

Hopefully, the Director's Cut will be available one day in UHD/HDR.

Hi Wayne, it looks like the Movie/Movie/Theatrical Version/Movie naming is an artifact of the metadata being linked to a physical release that included both versions on separate discs. All four are the same theatrical version, though. You may see that naming update.

As far as getting the Director's Cut in 4K, I don't think there are immediate plans to offer this, but I've passed along the request!

No idea if it's even been mastered for 4K as the 4K UHD disc release only includes a blu-ray of the directors cut version and a UHD for the standard edition.
