Difficulty reading movie error

I wasn’t downloading anything at the time and it’s full so couldn’t have been! Also the Terra SSD models are meant to be able to handle more without throttling so it was very odd. Not only that they are both connected to the same switch which is separate to the house, the only other high bandwidth device on the same switch is my NAS and nobody was watching anything on it.

I’ve not had the issue before so was very surprised.

I was just looking through server on the webGUI and have now seen that Sisu: Road to Revenge in my download history is showing as “Problem completing download”.

I manually redownloaded it about 40mins later after I noticed it had disappeared from my downloads but didn’t think to check the history at the time. I also now seem to have 143GB free space but it won’t download F1 and says insufficient space when prior to these issues it would have.

Guess I need to contact support in case one of the SSDs are failing in the Terra!

Is it normal behaviour if there is an issue with a download for the system not to tell you and then just remove the download?

I'd expect to see a failure message in your download queue, with the ability to attempt to try again.

Andy
When you say that, do you mean that’s what has happened with yours or just that you’d expect that to happen? If the latter that would be my expectation too, so for it just to disappear with no indication other than the fact I noticed was surprising. Especially as the I used the downloads as a way to track what I haven’t watched yet in lieu of the fact I don’t have the big boy server.

I’m probably pushing the download system to its limits given I’ve currently got 819 downloads in the queue and it’s only ever increasing so maybe that is throwing up issues.

I’ve only bought one new film in the sale this week though so if I can watch 2 then I can bring it down temporarily 😂.

🤯

That is a lot in the queue and potentially an untested configuration which may cause unknown behavior 🤷‍♂️. I don't have first-hand insight, but that number seems unusually high.

When I've had downloads fail in the past, every one of them appeared with a failure message in the queue and the option to try again. And as far as I recall, the subsequent attempts were successful (after I resolved whatever the issue was preventing the first attempt).

You may want to contact K support if you continue to have issues.

Haha, yes I’ve been averaging about 50 film purchases a month since I got the Strato V, and the 8TB SSD only lets me decrease the pile of shame by 130.

Interesting does the failed download stay on the top of your download list or move to the bottom? I didn’t check the bottom but went on the title page and it just had the downward arrow like it wasn’t in the download list.

I have messaged them and on the positive side the SSD isn’t showing any issues but they think it might be a communication issue between the player and server and thus a network issue. The two are obviously linked as the download issue happened in between me watching two movies and the first was fine.

Really need to get out and watch a movie to see what happens but that is much harder to do at the moment. Very easy to buy movies though which is why I’m now in this position.
